Who are you?
What are you learning?
But why Mosaic?

My name is Alexa Caron. I am a sophmore at Castle View High School. After that people normaly ask "Oh, what academy are you in?" Many people are very suprised by my answer and the often times look down on me based on the rumors that are spred around the school. The answer is Mosaic. I am a constant learner in Mosaic. I am always learning something new if it is learning to design this website to the effect food has on your skin. I have the best time in Mosaic because I learn what I enjoy and get the credit I need to graduate.

Learning happens every day. When you are young you learn that drawing on the walls makes your mom mad and when you are in Mosaic you learn that communication with peers and teachers in one of the most important parts of being a good learner. I am working on three different projects.

1- Designing and Building Original Furniture with Mr. Schneider

2- Who am I? Bolt

The main reason I decided on Mosaic was my mom. I was thinking to go into Biotechnology and Health Sciences but my mom said "I really think Mosaic will be fun." Then next week I came into Mosaic and made great connections with teachers. The teachers are here to help you learn and learn with you. This time really sparked my mind into thinking "Okay. I think I should try it." Now I would not change it for anything. Through this expierience in Mosaic I have realived that in the real world I cant wait on a teacher. If you come into Mosaic and expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter, you will be disapointed. The way Mosaic works is much different than a class outside of Mosaic. Growing up I was in a Montessori class from 3 years old. The way a Montessori Class and the Mosaic Class work are very similar. The amount of things I have learned in Mosaic have changed the way I view the world. Things are harder but way more worth it in this space. We have places to create hands on things, places to talk and colaberate with peers, places to expess yourself and places to ask questions. Mosaic is differnt but in my eyes more effective.
